I take it all back I think the new PB logo is actually genius. Any brand that feels it's too cool or hip to rebrand with a sphere should look into this shiny, perspective logo idea. Look at what it does to these old, dated brands -- it brings back the awesome! You know, for the kids.
I really can't see any reason for the shiny, skewed, rubbish "PB" to exist next to the otherwise decent Packard Bell typography. It's just not working, not working at all.
After years of faffing about trying to set up proper blog with all the Flickr feeds, blog rolls and other rubbish I have decided to just point everything to my Posterous blog. It works, it's easy to update, handles media wonderfully and, since it has no such feature yet, doesn't temp me to muck about with the design. This has ended a long cycle of designs, re-design, re-re-designs which means I can finally concentrate on something else than building a blog I hardly ever update.
I love Posterous, it completely appeals to that lazy side of me that just wants things to work (something I picked up in my late 20s) and the design is nice & clean enough for me not to worry about it. Now I just need to find something mildly interesting to blog about.
