Hardware is easy, software is hard
via boingboing.net
We now live in an age where copying hardware is easier than copying software, or more precisely, copying an experience. Sure the headsets are dodgy and there's "iPhone" plastered everywhere but the devices is a surprisingly high-fidelity copy; start using the UI however and the illusion collapses.
Sure, the processor seems slow and the screen probably isn't multitouch but its still quite a poignant illustration of how difficult it is to build great UX (even if you're ripping it off somewhere).
