Something is alive in the North Carolina sewers (and it will ruin your dinner)

OK, so it's a collection of worms that react to each other but this is possibly the most disturbing thing I've seen in a long while. I'm one of the many that thought this was a well put together hoax or viral campaign but this apparently real.
